• Account data (name, email, language preference) — for sign-in and saving your sentences.
• Your own sentences — the ones you type, along with their translations and audio recordings.
• Learning progress — which sentences you've marked as mastered.
• Technical data — IP address, browser, operating system (only for delivering the site and for security).

For the app to work, we pass certain data to carefully selected third parties:

• Clerk (USA) — sign-in & user management. Processes: email, name, login times.
• Vercel (USA) — website hosting. Processes: technical access data.
• OpenAI (USA) — translates your German sentences into the target language and generates the audio. Processes: the sentences you type. No training use on API data per OpenAI terms.
• Postgres database (hosted with an EU/CH provider) — stores your sentences and your progress.
• Google Analytics (USA) — anonymous usage statistics. Loads only if you consent in the cookie banner. Currently not active.

We use only technically necessary cookies (e.g. for sign-in). Should we use analytics later, you will be asked explicitly for your consent and can withdraw it at any time.

You have the right at any time to access, rectify, erase and port your data. Just write to me at tunc-polat@hotmail.com.

You can delete your account yourself at any time — directly in the app under Settings → “Delete account”, or in the web app under Settings → “Delete account”. This permanently removes your profile, your personal sentence lists and your learning progress. You can also remove individual sentence lists without closing your account. We store your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days — anonymised sentences (with no link to you) may remain in the shared library.
